Members cReekFishin Posted April 8, 2014 Members Posted April 8, 2014 How's the bite been the past few days? Has it picked up at all?

Members cReekFishin Posted April 8, 2014 Author Members Posted April 8, 2014 I'm debating on heading down there tonight. I hope it's worth the trip. Gotta be up for work at 4:30. Even less sleep if I am cleaning fish tonight. Lol
duckydoty Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 This is not the time of year to think about getting sleep. You had all winter to do that…….Good Luck! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
ozarkgunner Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I was there today . Only 2 whites. Angler At Law
Members cReekFishin Posted April 9, 2014 Author Members Posted April 9, 2014 Got skunked again. Granted I only stayed till about 9:30 (had my fiance with me lol). I threw just about every color grub I had, rooster tails, rattle trap, fluke, husky jerk. Have not tried an Alabama rig yet. Anything else I should be trying?
Members Eric Smith Posted April 9, 2014 Members Posted April 9, 2014 I went last night had 12 using purple swimming minnow
duckydoty Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I was up there for a few minutes tonight just before dark. Taylor shoals is loaded with them. There is no doubt that they are in there thicker than the vehicles and boat trailers stacked in the Blunks parking area. Getting them to bite is a different story. Did you throw any clousers their way?
Members pt1 Posted April 10, 2014 Members Posted April 10, 2014 Where exactly is Taylor Shoals located from the Blunks ramp/parking area. Is it toward Galena or toward McCord Bend? Sorry, I'm just not that familiar with James River since I'm not from around here originally. Is there a better launch ramp and parking area other than Blunks to get close to those areas?
