Its been pretty good after dark and early in the morning. Should be pretty crowded down there this weekend.

I'm debating on heading down there tonight. I hope it's worth the trip. Gotta be up for work at 4:30. Even less sleep if I am cleaning fish tonight. Lol

I was there today . Only 2 whites.

Got skunked again. Granted I only stayed till about 9:30 (had my fiance with me lol). I threw just about every color grub I had, rooster tails, rattle trap, fluke, husky jerk. Have not tried an Alabama rig yet. Anything else I should be trying?

I went last night had 12 using purple swimming minnow

I was up there for a few minutes tonight just before dark. Taylor shoals is loaded with them. There is no doubt that they are in there thicker than the vehicles and boat trailers stacked in the Blunks parking area. Getting them to bite is a different story.

Where exactly is Taylor Shoals located from the Blunks ramp/parking area. Is it toward Galena or toward McCord Bend? Sorry, I'm just not that familiar with James River since I'm not from around here originally. Is there a better launch ramp and parking area other than Blunks to get close to those areas?
