BATCAB27 Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Dez was suspended because Deion Sanders bought him lunch and he lied about. Not because he pushed a girl down some stairs and got busted with the chronic twice. And he beat up his mom well after he was drafted. And he had some crazy numbers his soph year like 1500yds/20td's or something. he fell to 27th in that years draft.
stlfisher Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 It sounds like DGB had some other issues that we/media were not aware of. Pinkel hinted at that after he cut him....really makes me wonder what else he did. The kid had everything in front of him and he couldn't keep it together for one more year. I could careless about the weed stuff...but the dude clearly has some issues. Regardless, it will hurt to lose him next year, but 100% the right decision.
Terrierman Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 The guy is a fast giraffe with decent hands. The NFL will love him, pay him and the team that gets him will forgive everything if he helps to win games. Assuming he can stay out of jail. That's about the only thing the NFL won't forgive, missing games for being in the slam.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 On #1-he can't declare until next spring. That doesn't mean he has to play college ball next year, but if he doesn't it will probably cause his stock to tank quite a bit further than if he's at least on the field dominating undersized 1AA secondaries. Not sure about #5. Certainly has the talent to get there. But if he can't get it together, no guarantees he even makes it to league, let alone lasts for more than a short time. Hope it works out, and he both figures out how to be a decent person and how to make millions. But the latter is far from a guarantee. As for #3, yeah, it's not been proven (beyond a reasonable doubt) that he did what he was accused of, and now without a charge/trial, probably never will be. But that police report isn't a fun read. There is always doubt in this type of situation, but there's also a lot of evidence. #6. I hope I'm still posting on OAF in 3 years. It means I haven't given up fishing for golf yet. just putting this out there, anyone who gives up fishing for golf should have their man card revoked and be kicked in the scrotum!!!
BATCAB27 Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 keepin it classy OU....women of Norman---beware!
stlfisher Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Looks like DGB's waiver to play this year was denied by the NCAA. I wonder if he will ever play for OU since he will be eligible for the draft next year. My guess is no even though I think he is still very raw and could use some seasoning.
Quillback Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Yeah, I think if he played for a year, got his act together and behaved like a model student he could really help himself in the draft.
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I don't think he will ever play. OU won't lose, he's not on scholorship, but practicing with the team. I suspect OU sees a value in other players seeing his moves, while he stays in shape and learns more football offense. I think he'll go the first day most likely, but the bottom line is that he has fallen back and is more subject to supply and demand then he would have been. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
