I put in Friday 4-11 about 10AM and had two keepers by 10:30 wiggle wart, inside of points, bigger stuff or ledgy stuff to gravel transition with a very few on just the gravely stuff, with wind. That pretty much repeated itself wherever I went. I messed around with the A rig, but haven't figured it out enough to feel good about it so I just stuck with the wart. 8 keeps and a bunch of mixed shorts by 3PM.

Saturday 4-12 got out about close to 10AM again, man I like the leisurly hours and eating breakfast. My partner got on a split shot bite behind me, considering he is my son and 8 he was still trying to figure out the feel of getting bit, but he did put fish in the boat. Locations were the same. I did catch my first A rig fish, but just the one. Wart fished the same as the previous day, but I was spending more time coaching than fishing.

Sunday 4-13 only things tied on were warts and split shot rigs. 5 keeps, lots of shorts.

Takeaway....the fish were grouped on the transition from bigger stuff to gravel, just inside of points, needed wind, catch one keep throwing at it.

Snot moss was just starting to show in the areas I fished. I could not buy a grub bite.

MB what area did you fish. Seems that there are some bad pods of moss forming. Really bad from Campbell Point to about point 19. Campbell Point to Eagle Rock is good up the White River. Then from Point 9 thru the dam area to about the 86 bridge it gets really bad. Point 19 to point 9 is also good, thru the Red Barn and Baxter area. All the river systems seem to be fine, with the exception of some in both big and little Aunts.

The middle long creek map in the map section covers the area I fished to a 'T'. The areas I fished were pretty compact, if I caught one there were more, and they were stacked pretty good.

Good report MOBass, sounds like you and your son enjoyed some quality fishing time together. When he gets the hang of the split shot bite you'd better watch out!
