Any idea what the fish might b bitting on crappie or walleyes? Headed out from the dam if anyone interested in tagging along. any help would be great thanks and good luck.
PHhunter Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I would try one of the river arms if you are looking for crappie on Thursday. They should be getting close to heading to the bank. Find a rocky bank with some lay downs. I like to troll out at about 15 ft of water with my trolling motor using tube jigs tipped with minnows. Slowest setting or drift if there is wind. I will change depths depending on where I find the bites. I am thinking 13ft will be the ticket Thursday morning. How is that for specific info.
frying eyes Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The conservation has a lot of marked brush piles all over the lake. Look for green signs on the banks, most of the time they're straight out even with the sign. Your fish finder will easily pick them up. It's hard to beat a jig & minnow. Good luck
