Fishrman Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Put in at Cape Fair at 7 fished til 3:30, caught plenty of fish, around 40 or so, about 8 keepers, biggest was 3 lb. Caught them on wacky rig, square bill, spinner, floating worm, wobble head, jerkbait (several on it, most keepers came on it) and a carolina rig, saw a few on bed not many though, probably bout over there. Water temp. was 70-75.
fishingaddiction Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 With that range of water temp, I would agree the fish that far up the James are about done, as you suggested. Good numbers of fish and a good days catching. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Sac River Jim Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 we also put in at 7:00 i was fishing with my crappie club but i managed to throw a shakey head w/ a watermelon red trick worm and caught more bass in the short time i fished it than i did crappie all day long. i didnt think that fog would ever burn off lol!!!! everyone in the club caught some nice channels and those pesky gar on jigs and minnows. thnx for a good report. no mikes not grinning because hes pleased hes laughing at what it is
