Fished 3 days and one night this past week in the PC area. Catching a lot of fish, mostly little bucks, but did have a couple 4's and a few 3's. I tried a lot of stuff searching for that better bite, but they are few and far between right now. 10-12lbs with 5 is the best I've been able to do lately. Bass are literally everywhere on beds, so until thats over its gonna be tough. Best baits have been a spook or redfin early til the sun gets up, then switching to sub surface lures like a fluke, senko and wacky worm. Later in the afternoon I've been dragging on bottom. Shakey heads, split shot rigs and biffle heads with creature type baits have been best. Green pumpkin, watermelon or any variation of the two will work. Tried swimming a grub, but all I could get on it were walleyes. Main lake gravel is holding spots with the occassional smallmouth and meanmouth. Feeder creeks, main lake coves and pockets are holding largemouth. The one night I went a black 1/2oz spinnerbait paralleled on 45 degree banks produced some nice fish. I've seen shad spawning in the backs of main lake gravel pockets early and late and catching a few on a smoke grub around those areas with stripers and walleyes mixed in. Also noticed a lot of bream beds lately so a bluegill squarebill or green pumpkin grub would likely get a few bites. Be better if everything wasn't happening all at once. Basically you can catch them any way any where you want right now. Hope this helps. Due to recent discussion about no one posting bass reports I'll try to post one up once in awhile. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them. Good luck!

I'll second that report. I have also been successful in the PC area and Coose area on shakey head and grubs. Mostly within first ten feet of bank but pulled some nicer fish off in the 15-20ft range as well which kind of surprised me. Spooks have caught me a few small stripers and decent bass at sunset. Any one have a pic of a mean mouth? I think I caught one but would like to be sure.

Great report, I have caught several bream lately that are Pumpkin colored to a light green/pumpkin in color which is perfect interpretation of what you are saying.... Are you actually seeing the bream on the beds or just making beds? And are you seeing schools of smaller ones running the banks yet?

I've seen bream on beds in some pockets and in others the beds are empty. Whether they are done there or came in made beds and something pulled them off I do not know. Behind boat docks is where I've been seeing most of them. They are a small dished out area about 8-10'' round and they are usually in clusters, in case someone hasn't seen them thats what to look for.
