Members littlejasper Posted May 12, 2014 Members Posted May 12, 2014 Made it back to God's country after seven days on Lake Michigan. What a fishery!!! Arrived about a week early, but still whacked em pretty well. Seems like every fish caught was big. Smallest brownie weighed 3.2. Had five in the Cabelo's tourney on Sat., May 10 that weighed 21.00#. Finished 24th!! 30 # won the thing. Four best for the trip between my partner and I were 6-10, 6-1, 5-8, and a 5-3 in the tourney. Water temp. between 38 - 53. Find warmer water and you could catch them. The "Walters" weighed 29.98. Biggest of five was 7.2#. Had a great trip and would go back in a minute.
magicwormman Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Thanks for the report. Sounds like you had a great trip. What was the best bait for this time of year?
Sac River Jim Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 thnx for the great reports and pics. the pic of those jaws almost made my jaw drop and i'm sure i wasn't the only one.
wdberkley Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Day 1 (today) weights at the Sturgeon Bay Open. Keep in mind this is a 6 fish deal. Another jaw over 8# brought in today. And one over 7#. Absolutely insane. http://www.sbobt.org/page/live-leaderboard/live-leaderboard-by-team-place/
