If I remember correctly it used to be around this time of year. Thank you very much.

The brown's have been stocked. A friend and I floated and fished from Baptist Camp to Cedar Grove on Monday. All we caught the whole trip was small browns. I believe they stocked 36,000 8in browns. Jadwin Canoe gave me the info.

They usually do it in March or April if the river permits.

36,000?...seems like a huge amount. Anyone no if that is more than normal? According to the fish survey on the MDC they schocked a 27.5 inch brown last fall and last spring they stocked 7000 brown trout in the Blue Ribbon section.

Yeah, 36K is an awful lot (about 4000/mile in the blue ribbon). If that figure is accurate the next year will be spent picking baby brown trout off the hook.

I was thinking it used to be about 1K per mile for the 8 mile trophy area from Montauk to Cedargrove. That is about 8 miles if memory serves, so 8000 sounds about right.

But I spend so little time up there anymore, there is no telling what they do now.

8k is the norm. 27.5" is believable, but anything over 20 has been a rare catch lately. If they dropped 32k. Fishing will be grand in. 3/4 years.

That is what I was thinking....
