Roger Craig Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 With weather and all who knows, cats should be up shallow and spwing. Did catch one 18 lb channel in Cricket Creek the other day, fun on 6 lb med rod. Darted like a bullet for awhile.

Quillback Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 No cats for me, I wouldn't mind catching an eating sized flathead.
Members biglifer Posted May 17, 2014 Members Posted May 17, 2014 Wouldn't mind taking the family to catch some cats. Any suggestions where to go in the Kimberling/Aunts area? Shallow I take it?
Sac River Jim Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 lifer almost everyone in our crappie club picked up some cats that day either on jigs or minnows and the biggest was just over 4lbs and most were caught shallow i believe. i used to like to take a lawn chair and set right on the ramp at bridgeport just about dark seemed like i always caught a good mess mostly a little later in the season tho july and aug mostly
