High Point Hot Spots

The wife and I are just getting into fishing together. Just looking for a little insight on a couple of good fishing spots around the High Point area. We are basically just looking to crappie and catfish. We are catch and release fishing. Just thought I would ask where a good fishing hole is and what baits work the best? All help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are several levies in that area which were made for flood protection before the lake went in. You need a map or gps that shows them but they always hold fish.

You can get a hotspots map at walmart for stockton. You should be able to find it on there i think.

Thanks for that map feather and fin. Being that me and the mrs are just getting started, what are some good color jigs to use? We went out on memorial day and caught 2 small mouth 1 sunfish and a 3 lbs cat. We only fished for about 3 hours. Helps knowing where the fish are when you go out.

I only get to Stockton a couple times a year at most but I would go with Bobby Garlands for Crappie and for catfish just use shad.

I was having luck with purple/chart Crappie Magnets last week in that general area.
