Crowded Out

Got on the water near PC yesterday about 530 AM. Picking up a few bass fishing chunk rock points and banks in the PC area. I was down toward the mouth of Ventris when the water started to boil. Not from fish, although there was a lot of surface activity (mostly carp), but from a big tourney that started at 630 out of PC. I saw them starting to put in when I went through the no wake zone, so figured it was coming. But this was a big one. I bet 75-100 bass boats came charging out of PC over a few minutes time.

No big deal, I figure. I keep fishing. But I was wrong. I got cut off pretty quickly by one guy, so moved. Then I got cut off again almost right away, and a guy then cut off the guy who cut me off! Hell with that, I put the boat back on the trailer about 730 and went home. I fish for fun and that is no fun. Like Quillback said, I'm so glad I don't have to fish on the weekends. Just thought I'd get out for a few hours before the crazies hit the lake. Just happened a little sooner than I expected.

I feel your pain Jeb, its why I pulled off the crappie yesterday, you would think other anglers would have respect for each other but add a tournament to the mix and they become the rudest creatures around.

156 boats. I was in the tournament. The 4th time I got cut off, I left (at noon). I figure it's better to bite my tounge and go home than to throw a fit and be a bad example to any young ones that may be watching.

Joe this is how bad it was... the place you, me, my brother and Doc were fishing last weekend by the rock. Had one come in cut between me and the shore and start pitching the area. There was NO call for that, HE-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS, that is not a big enough areas for someone to do that.

Joe this is how bad it was... the place you, me, my brother and Doc were fishing last weekend by the rock. Had one come in cut between me and the shore and start pitching the area. There was NO call for that, HE-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS, that is not a big enough areas for someone to do that.

Holy smoke that is bad. When we were fishing the other day together, I went to the other side of the channel just to get out of the way. And we were just goofing around fun fishing! This may be one of the many reasons I'll never do well in tournaments - I just won't cut in front of someone - just not right.

That is kind of you to say! Speaking of which... If I can figure out how to paid t the eyes - I may have some fun wart colors to try this fall
