Members Growler Posted January 2, 2007 Members Posted January 2, 2007 Really wish I could have made the outing. Was looking forward to putting a face to all the names. I woke up with a temperature & very sick...I didn't even party NY Eve! I also missed fishing Taney on New Years Day for the first time in around 8 years. What's my year going to be like now?

RSBreth Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I went down by the boat ramp, had the place to myself for awhile, saw an eagle almost get a duck, went to drive up to the pavillion, and my cell goes off. Yep, baby emergency. So, I went home, and to top it off, now I'm sick, too. Glad everyone had a good time.
Troutn Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I sure wish I could have made it. It sounds like a good time was had by all!
jjtroutbum Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 OK looks like Im late to post. Just got home about an hour ago. Yall left a few still in there so I stuck around for a couple more days.To stick a few more fish. Leonard thanks for helpin get the ball rollin or should I say streamer flowin in the early AM. His patterns and direction made the first fish for me in 07' a brown trout . Also ummm those lil seahorses made the cold disappear quickly. Phil thanks for returning with leaders for me, since I forgot mine at home. The whole event was very nice, but I really figured it would be concidering as sharing and kind as the members are online. Well eveyone was even more so in person. Food great, fishing good, membership who'da'thought "Has its Privileges" Had a great time glad to have met eveyone, JJ Jon Joy ___________ "A jerk at one end of the line is enough." unknown author The Second Amendment was written for hunting tyrants not ducks. Members Old Stumbler Posted January 4, 2007 Members Posted January 4, 2007 This is Pam. My first fish of '07 was caught on Jan 1 and it was a 17in. brown. Wasn't even wading just on the bank messing around. I hate those "toe stumblin" rocks!!!
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Sorry to have missed everyone! Work did not cooperate with me on New Year's eve. I ended up with only about an hour sleep and a very early call that put me about an hour late leaving the station. My son and I got down there about 1:30p.m. A few were still around and we chatted for awhile before hitting the water. Gary - A+ on the meatballs! They even kept me warm later Sounds like I really missed out on the seahorses, maybe next time. My son and I stayed around for a couple of more days to do some "father/son" fishing before he heads off to Japan for three years. I'll post a report later today. Hat's off to everyone involved and can't wait for the next one. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Members Old Stumbler Posted January 5, 2007 Members Posted January 5, 2007 Jim Murphy did a nice job at the MFTA meeting last night. He does an excellent job with the smallmouth patterns. It sure is gloomy out this morning. I have a few errands to run. I am out of here. I hate those "toe stumblin" rocks!!!
