Pepe Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 As I understand it, Zman has a mechanical patent on a jig with the blade attached directly to the eye. This may, or may not, make a difference. I haven't fished one with the split ring. I'll have to try that. Thanks.
merc1997 Bo Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 you actually get more vibration with a split ring because of the blade being further out. it creates i wider wobble. bo

Here is the parts needed to make your own. You can save better than half the price buying the parts and putting them together yourself versus buying new from a store. http://lurepartsonline.com/Jig-Dancer-Blades_2.html http://lurepartsonline.com/Duo-Lock-Snaps.html http://lurepartsonline.com/Dancer-Swim-Jigs_2.html (you can also do the split ring/flat eye jighead like bluebasser86 posted) http://lurepartsonline.com/Standard-Silicone-Skirts.html

Seth Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 I need to try that. Sometimes when throwing them in current, I have a hard time keeping them down. Bumping up to a -/2oz model was my plan.
