I have put together a Bass Tournament on August 2 as a fundraiser for our Youth Ministry. I have attached a poster with all the details. $100/team entry fee, 2-4 person teams. Dinner will be provided after the weigh in. Teams can fish any pond, river, creek, or lake they want. Bring the 4 biggest bass to the weigh in at 6pm, winning team gets $400 prize money. Members Fishn' Addict Posted July 1, 2014 Author Members Posted July 1, 2014 Freedom Christian Center is located halfway between Mount Vernon and Aurora on hwy 39 and no the fish caught that day won't be dinner.... the idea is to bring live fish to the weigh in and if you don't want to filet your fish we will have a safe way to transport them to be released.
DADAKOTA Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Good luck on your fundraiser. IS there a no dead fish rule? IF not, you open yourselves up to potential cheating. Given the heat of the summer I would anticipate many dead fish which is really a waste of a valuable resource.

It was a great success everybody involved had a great time and we were able to raise some money for the youth. We had a conservation agent on hand with an official scale for weigh in and the best part is that every bass was alive and well at weigh in, we had a stock tank ready for quick transport afterwards and released them unharmed. This was our first one and based on results we will be doing this atleast annually.
