Chief Grey Bear Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 It just seems to me the breeders want all the benefits of running these outfits without any of the costs...they don't want to be held accountable. And by moving jurisdiction to a more sympathetic audience in the Ag Department, the party of personal responsibility is doing everything in their power -and exceeding the state Constitution - to make sure breeders won't be held accountable. You have put it in a nutshell. People need to wake up to the fact of what is happening here and what it will result in. And where will it stop? This is opening a very dangerous door! jdmidwest Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 We don't have wild cattle or chickens to worry about if those escape, and that's a key difference. Where do you think all of the wild hogs came from? There were not wild to start with and they are not native to MO. At least there has always been a fencing rule regarding the captive deer. I really don't know how many get loose and am sure the number is being blown out of proportion. But livestock does get out too and become a problem. There are no fencing requirements or Conservation rules for raising hogs and cows, but yet we have wild hogs.
