moguy1973 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Earlier this year I was reading that LOZ was unusually clear. After the summer boat brigade has had a chance to stir things up is that still the case? I'm heading down early this coming Sunday to paddle the kayak around in the Gravois arm coves to see what's biting...Hopefully they cooperate. Did pretty well last year all things considering... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members northshore Posted July 15, 2014 Members Posted July 15, 2014 It's pretty dingy now, or it was as of 7/3-7/6 at the 6 mile mark. I can't imagine it's as clear as it was all spring.
Members AAD Posted July 15, 2014 Members Posted July 15, 2014 Glaize are seemed pretty dingy last weekend. Could not see the bottom of the motor when it was trimmed all the way down.
MOsmallies Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Yeah I believe normal LOZ clarity has been restored. It was super clear (8-9 ft visibility) the weekend before memorial day, but one week later on memorial day weekend it was back to only a foot or two of visibility.
mwfischer Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I'd say close to normal clarity but still on the clearer side despite a decent amount of rain lately. The lake in general has a bluer look across the surface than I've ever seen (More like TR than it usually would) right now, at least IMO. Glaize area had a few spots of 2-4' but definitely dinge taking back over.

I thought it might have just been the sky, but I wasn't the only one that noticed.
