fozzype Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Haven't heard much on summer bottom bouncer bite. Thinking about later this week but wondered if anyone had report ? Depth? B. Foz
rps Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I do not know how well my findings on TR translate to Stockton, but in the last two weeks I found them at 26 to 30 feet on channel roll offs with debris - timber, rocks, whatever.
minnowhooker Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I went this morning caught 3 keeps and 2 shorts....biggest 17'' bottom bounced points 12' to 17' after about 9:00 it just quit, the wind stopped and so did the bite for me. I left at 12 my batteries were getting weak I need to look into some new ones.
Hunter75 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I caught them last weekend in 15-18 fow. Close to mainlake points but a few were on the flats. All just keepers, no big ones. Did pick a few up on cranks in the same depths.
Smithvillesteve Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 We fished for some "eyes" wed evening and thurs afternoon/evening. I had a couple of buddies with me, one kind of elderly, so we trolled crankbaits mostly. wed evening was great. We caught 6 walleyes, 4 keepers, 2 nice big whites, 2 nice crappies. Had a great time trolling around, telling stories and catching fish. We came back thurs around 1 oclock and it was cloudy with a little chop on the water. I'm thinking this is a great walleye day!! We caught 2 small walleye early and then everything just shut off. If i was by myself i really would have liked to drifted a jig/crawler around some main lake points or pulled a spin rig around. Not trying to sound like Al Linder but I think I might have been able to get on some fish. But it was a great time taking two old friends down to that beautiful lake and catching a few fish.
Members line wetter Posted July 22, 2014 Members Posted July 22, 2014 I caught about a dozen Saturday on night crawlers in the afternoon about 20 feet deep on points. Just one keeper.
