Below Dam At Finley Ozark Park

I am new to kayak fishing and want to know how to get to the area below the dam at the Finley Park in Ozark. I need access that doesn't require carrying my kayak.

I have been told to go to the car dealer or the Chinese restaurant. I am not sure where these places are. Does anyone out there know?

They are both just west of the Finley River bridge on Hwy 14 in Ozark. The Chinese are on the north and cars on the south. Both will require you carrying your kayak.

it's an abandoned car dealer, with a large parking lot and paved trail. You could drive on the grass to unload the kayak, then drive back off of it. The water there is pretty good, but it is fished hard so there may not be much there.

You can put in at the park (boat ramp). The river downstream from the dam is mediocre fishing, at best. If you can paddle up from the park the river up from there is usualy better fishing.
