Goggle-Eyed Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Lights work on LOZ. very well at this time. I agree, just make sure you stay away from large lighted docks like condos, community docks, etc. It works best if you can find "dark" areas. I am not sure if they work as good here as a lake like stockton, bull shoals, pomme, etc.. since there is so much artificial light created by the community docks.
Sac River Jim Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 we use a technique called vertical casting under the lights at stockton. drop your minnow rigged the way gator suggested to the bottom and begin reeling very slowly counting the turns ot the reel once you get bit you know what depth to fish by the number of turns you reeled up.
Sac River Jim Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 ruark area h highway bridge theres a good brush pile on the second bridge pier from the south and set up on the north side of the pier that area is loaded with shad bout an inch long. i fished a bass tourney up there tonight and the whites were boiling up all over that part of the lake.you might try grieser its full of shad too id tie up to a tree and set up in 30' of water. also theres two mdc brushpiles in the mouth of it directly across from each other might be worth trying and last but not least is a brush pile right off the end of the fishing pier at ruark the crappie been tight in the brush you will either catch a fish or lose a jig in it but some nice slabs have come off it the last couple of weeks.
