Terry Beeson Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 YIPEEEE! I got the go ahead from the boss... And which "boss" are you referring to? Plans are not definate at this point, but I HOPE to come down Friday night. If things go according to plan, I will be SOMEwhere on one of the tailwaters Sunday... We need two volunteers... One for each dam... To hold a gun to the head of the guy with his finger on the generation button. Then again, IF I'm staying at the farm (Viola) and IF they are generating... I may just HAVE to FORCE myself to go to the Spring... Kansas Fly Fisher Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 And which "boss" are you referring to? laugh.gif The REAL boss, of course! And SHE's coming too. We're taking four days off and enjoying each other's company. I'm trying to talk her into taking the woman's casting clinic on Thursday. Hope to see ya there and do some fishing. I've never fished that area so any help will be appreciated. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM

Kansas Fly Fisher Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Man I can't wait! After three years I'm getting to go. The bags are packed and the fishing gear ready. I'm leaving Wednesday night and driving as far as we can before finding a motel. I'm not leaving anything to chance and having to work again this year. So, who's all going down this year? Me and the misses will be wearing an orange OAF hat; look me up if ya want. I'm also planning on doing some much needed fishing while there so if anyone wants to help a newbie to that area out, it would be much appreciated. Maybe we can hook up for a meal before everyone has to leave. Anyway - hope to see ya there! Be safe . . . John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Terry Beeson Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 For any of you interested, there will be an informal breakfast "get together" at the Coffee Cup Cafe on Saturday morning around 7-7:30 am. The Coffee Cup is located in the strip mall by Harp's Supermarket on 62B. It's the one in the corner down by the Harp's store. Come by and say "hey" and/or have a cup of coffee and/or some breakfast before you head to the 'Bug... Flysmallie Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Well good luck to all of you that are going. I hope you have a good time. I was trying to get away and go but I gotta play soccer (volleyball) mom on Saturday. Nothing like leaving your house at 7am on a Saturday with six 13 year old girls and drive an hour or two to a volleyball tournament. If I'm lucky I'll get home before it gets dark. Heck of a way to spend your birthday, but I do love to watch them play.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 13, 2007 Author Root Admin Posted March 13, 2007 Is anyone fishing? Say... Friday or Saturday evening? I'm thinking about heading down but I'm gonna want to hit the water someplace if I'm going to be that close to the water. Friday- Lent... got me thinking. What about a fish fry Friday evening someplace? One of the accesses after dark? I can provide most of what we need- fish, fryer, oil, plates/forks, beans (hot). Any thoughts where?
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Count me in on both! I'll be down on Thursday. Give me a call on my cell 620-717-2990. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
