Fish24/7 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 659.79 heavy stain 84 sunny windy So I failed to set my alarm to get up early so I wasn't on the water until 9am. I flipped a coin to see which spot I would bass fish and wound up N. of Theodosia and spent a few hours up there. Started out in 2' on a gravel flat throwing a crankbait and blade and caught 1- 14" spot on the blade, one short spot on the crank and that was it for the shallow biters. I had been catching some nice topwater bass early on the flats but it was almost 9:30 w/ a high sky when I made my first cast up shallow. Time to move out deeper. Found the channel in 6' and followed it out to 15' ,about 100yds. throwing a 3/8 Super Shad blades, dt4,dt6, and dt10 cranks. That's where they were, out in the creek bed. Only other fishermen around was a bald eagle and a kingfisher. Came in around 1:30.
