Anyone Fished Lane Spring Recently?

I was thinking of skipping the upper Current and missing the canoe hatch. Any reports? Have not been there since the spring.

I have not been there in years. Last time I passed thru, it had changed alot.

Interested to hear a report, I too would like to know what it is like there now.

Gonna be low and super clear, only 65cfs at Newburg. Lot of slow, sandy pools with occasional riffles. If you want fish here, focus on moving water. If you just want fish, go to the Current.

The upper current is too low to float. If you go you will see very few canoes baptist to cedar. Some private kayaks and canoes maybe.

The current is super low, Lane Spring had good flow, and there were tons of tricos coming off and plenty of willing fish. I was there about 2 weekends ago, caught probably 40-50 of them from 3-10"

Fished Lane Springs Jul16-Jul19 & Jul28-Aug2. All springs were pumping cold. Good conditions from the 63Bridge right down to the end of the NFS park. Fish of size all the way thru. Best success stripping #8-10 flies across fast water.
