Gasconade Water Level

Gotta a buddy that is wanting me to go fishing with him tomorrow on the gasconade. He has a prop which we do not plan on running at all. Just wondering if we would be able to float and troll from paydown to Rollins ferry without getting stuck. Thought this might be something you could chime in on Seth. I have only floated this stretch once in a kayak and I really don't remember the river much except it was a little high. My buddy is not worried at all but I'm a little skeptical. I just really don't want to be stranded

If it is a small boat, you should be able to make it. That is a pretty good distance to float in one day.

15 miles. Got it done. Did some dragging but that was expected. Fishing was so so. The ones we caught were good size but didn't catch a lot

That's pretty well par for the course lately on the fishing. Glad you guys made it. Did you catch any largemouth or was it mainly smallmouth? I haven't been able to catch largemouth very well for the past couple months.

My buddy caught one LM. I guess it probably about 2 lbs.

That's a decent one for the Gasconade. The largemouth bite was on fire at the end of May. I fished a tournament solo and had 10.33 pounds of largemouth up at Jerome. Smallmouth were actually hard for me to come by during that time frame. Now it's the complete opposite. Funny how that works.
