Took the jon boat out again, but this time I hit the bluff real early, about 6:30. I started missing bites right away. They were hitting the minnows like bluegills. The jig didn't get as many bites, but it was easier to feel my way around the brush, and set the hook immediately when one hit. I ended up with 11 keeper crappie (the two biggest were about 13" apiece), about 10 short crappie, 2 spotted bass, 2 short largemouths, and 2 channel cats. It was far better to take the jon boat out during the week than a weekend.

You had a very productive morning Kyle. Nice work! Good to read that the traffic was light for you too.

First a question and comment... ARE YOU CRAZY that electrical storm was insane. Next im jealous of that nice mess way to go.

Gotta agree with these comments. Lol

Lightening is no joke. I saw where a father and son was struck by lightening in an alum. boat. The rod looked freaky. Be careful in unsafe weather.

Nice mess!

I found a ton of fish late this afternoon but the bit shut down around 8:00 for some reason. Did manage to get a 15" crappie. He was a surprise! I know I'll be going back there soon.

There was no storm where I was. It was a bit cloudy, but calm otherwise. It wasnt too far from the 412 bridge.
