am4mu
Any recomendations on waders for a rookie? Fishing Taney, maybe some parks. and a lot on the White and Norfork around Mountain Home. Don't have a lot of money but don't want to buy junk. There is an Orvis shop here in Independence but they can be high. Any input would be greatly appreacited. Danoinark
Talk to them about the Orvis Silver Labels. They would be in the neighborhood of 200 bucks. Orvis also makes a less expensive wader called a Clearwater I think. The reason I say this, Orvis has a very liberal return and warranty. Both of those I mentioned are breathable. Terry Beeson
I can vouch for the Orvis Clearwaters. If you are going to fish a LOT then I would upgrade to something like a Silver Label or better. But if cost is an issue, then the Clearwaters are a good choice. jjtroutbum
To me waders are all about fit , fit and fit so try on alot of different pairs especially if you dont fit the standerd or "regular" sizes whatever "regular" implies JJ Jon Joy ___________ "A jerk at one end of the line is enough." unknown author The Second Amendment was written for hunting tyrants not ducks. Guest flyfishBDS
Simms have some very nice under $200 wader out very soon. You can also get good deals on the current model RFreestone. Michael at Backwoods in Sporingfield will get you sorted, if you can't get down this far. Cheers Steve
mhall02
How much are you wanting to spend? I have a set of neoprene Bass Pro Bone Dry that I've had for the last 3-4 years, I think they were under $80 bucks, not too bad. Fish Taney, Current and Benett Spring and they work just fine. Micheal Kyle
I Still have a few pair of the older Freestones left that are 25%off of 149, makes them $112. I will be getting the new Blackfoots in this week which are the new entry level wader from Simms they will retail for $149. If you can not make it down just call and I would be more than happy to hold any thing for you. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways! Flysmallie
Michael, what sizes do you have left? If it helps I need something big. I was the one in today that watched Mr. Ducky tie his first zonker.

drew03cmc
I have tried many types of waders, and LOVE neoprene. Why, do not ask...but they are more comfortable IMHO. The Orvis shop in Independence sells everything at BOOK PRICE...I know. $8 for one leader? Come on. If I can, I drive out to Cabela's due to the lower prices on flies, or I mailorder from them if I have a little while to get things sorted. Waders, you cannot beat the prices at either BassPro or Cabela's. Look into a lot of different styles before committing to one. Andy
