Kramr Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 I don't have down riggers either, I use a 3-way rig with a weight from 3 - 6 ozs, I can effectively get down to around 30 + feet but not 50 or 60. I will also being using spoons and be trying to vertical jig for them. As you can see from my avatar, I have a bassboat. Up until the last year or so, we mainly fished for black bass. Now we target different species depending on the lake we are on. For Norfork it's stripers and walleyes then crappie. If we are on Table Rock or Pomme de Terre it would be black bass.
J.M. Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I haven't done much striper fishing on the last 3 yrs but July Aug.and Sept. was the best mo.s for me when I was doing a lot of striper fishing. I have caught them as deep as 90ft. but this time of year mostly 35 t0 50 ft. Good luck and don't get to far from the dam this time of the year
