Bluegill Instead Of Shad For Striper?

Is this even worth trying on Beaver lake? I have been doing it without much luck....couple of catfish.

Yes it is worth doing, I catch more than a few every year with them.

3 and 4'' bream are best size, 3/0 circle hooks and fly lined or light split shot behind or under the boat at a crawl is the ticket.

Caught 2 this year using the above method. Like fins said, keep them small. I personally would not be afraid to upsize the hook, but did catch some on the smaller size hook.
