kjackson Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Here's a quick question for the bass guys: it's late January or early February: what kind of bite is going on? This could be for spots, largies or smallies. What is the hot bite at the time--not that we won't be fighting ice, snow and a frozen lake this year if the weather prognosticators are correct, but just in case. Thanks.
Feathers and Fins Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 If you know where springs are you can catch fish but don't expect more than 8 to 10 bites. If there is a good shad die-off spoon bites are always good on bright sunny days. And finally the Ned is good on the deep in of flats or drop offs in 30+ feet of water. Its a tough time to fish but you can get a few but be prepared to fish slow. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I did pretty well on tubes last winter on Table Rock. The A-rig is usually catching fish then also, I don't fish it, but guys that do pull in some fish. Jerk bait bite may be on that time of year, but you never know until you get out there and fish.
