Members Beaverdamstore Posted September 29, 2014 Members Posted September 29, 2014 Between me, Lisa, and Carl we have caught trout with every way we can think of. High water get a boat and drift while chunking crankbaits at the bank. While they arte not generating you can wade from the dam to 62 bridge if you wanted to. I've had good luck with #16-20 olive midges, prince nymphs and pheasant tails. Not that I think it matters but the most bait reports are talking about white and yellow power bait. Stop by the store and tell me a fish story. Jim
ollie Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Wish my wife and I still had the flea market booth in Eureka. That always gave me an excuse to fish the tail water when I went down there once a month! Always found it beautiful down there and never seemed to have any problems catching fish. Most were stockers, but still had plenty of fish to catch. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
