abkeenan Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Caught this one on the west end last Saturday. Ahhh, the rewards of Bo's breeding/stocking/relocation program.
merc1997 Bo Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 nice brownie champ!!! sure wish we had a bunch of them up here. up here meaning eagle rock. seems like you can always find a few of them biting. sure love catching them, but it is a long trip to put in downstream. bo
merc1997 Bo Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Ahhh, the rewards of Bo's breeding/stocking/relocation program. year before last leonard and i transplanted close to a 100 brownies at eagle rock. the next spring we had someone tell us that they had caught a limit of keeper brownies off of the bridge fill at eagle rock, and another caught some on the channel end across and below from the eagle rock dock, but really have not heard of any others. we do have plans to give it another go this fall. sure would be nice to have some of them to catch closer to the house. bo

Heck, bring some of RPS's pet Walters too if you have some spare time.
Alex Heitman Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I think the fish kill has a lo to do with there not being a big supply of big LM. If you look at tournaments though, I think most of them won are close to KC and down towards Long Creek. I think this is because tons of fish get released at the KC area from tournaments. The released fish on the other hand are more conditioned to fishermen as well because of this and therefore can be harder to catch. I think they are there but are just smart and harder to catch. Just my opinion though
Members gatorbitu Posted September 30, 2014 Members Posted September 30, 2014 Very nice! Congrats on the catch.
