Wanted to thank some people

Recommended Posts

I've said it at least 5 times so far, this forum is easily the best I've been to. And I'm talking about forums in general: everything from digital photography to flash website design. Hands down everyone here is fantastic. No place else has given me quite as much information and direction as this entire group. I feel that is the sign of a strong forum community: no one person has all the answers; everyone chips in for a more broad answer to a question. I know I am one of the new guys on here but I amm hoping to meet a few of you and see if there are any more tips and secrets MrDucky and myself havent already squeezed outta ya.

If you all think this is bad, wait until my wife finally lets me get a fly tying kit. Then I'll really be pest. :P

Each time I buy a new fly............

My wife gives me the same look........

I give her when she buys another purse...

Hey guys,

I'm in the top ten of retardo Taney casters.

The thing is, is that so many fish at Taney are caught relatively close to where you stand, which has led me to just sloppin it out there too many times. Now I grant, you don't need a pretty cast to get the proper drift, which proper presentation is my focus and concentration.

On the other hand, there have been several times where conditions have called for lengthy and precice casts. All of a sudden I have to focus and concentrate on every cast as opposed to flopping things out towards short distance fish.

For example, wide pools at Roaring River will only result in strikes on the opposite bank that can be a challenging distance for a 4wt. Another could be the Texas Hole at San Juan River seems to yield more success with longer casts acoompanied with longer drifts. You cannot cast across it.
