Wayne SW/MO Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Anyone know? It was fast, faster than normal, or so it seemed. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
laker67 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Anyone know? It was fast, faster than normal, or so it seemed. Did not see anything on fly fish taney. Hopefully not an emergency as before.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 1, 2014 Root Admin Posted November 1, 2014 Moving this to Taneycomo forum Empire drew too much water out on Wednesday and again on Thursday while Table Rock didn't run any water. It's happened before but usually TR runs water at least some during the day to fill it back up. I noticed yesterday it was up a little in the trophy area but still low. As far as being "fast", are you talking about below the dam? It would be quicker to run out because the pool below, say rebar, would be lower. I called and the level was at 701.5 which is about 8 inches low. That's a lot for up there...
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 1, 2014 Root Admin Posted November 1, 2014 I'm about to write a fishing report. I'll take about the low water in it.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 We went to Forsyth for dinner and we were gone less than an hour. The lake dropped noticably in that hour. It would drop faster down here if it's Powersite rather than TR. It generally takes about an hour for any TR influence to reach the lower end. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 2, 2014 Root Admin Posted November 2, 2014 They've been running a half all day so it's back up here. Not sure if it was enough to bring it up down there...
perchjerker Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Fished Fri. & Sat. with no water running all day. Took a very long time to get some quality Bows for the smoker. Leaving Sun. morning wouldn't ya know they were running water.Once again had a great stay at Lilleys Landing the best on the lake. I even caught a 22" brown off the dock late in the evening.Water was low, half way up lookout water was so thin for the Lund we didn't go any further.
Members Mbrown2858 Posted November 3, 2014 Members Posted November 3, 2014 Perch - What were they biting on and catching them off the dock if you don't mind me asking? We're headed down this week.
perchjerker Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Inflated nightcrawler with a 1/2" piece of white powerbait trout worm.
