oneshot Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 just winterized our camper by warsaw yesterday.beautiful weekend. Our Cabin is 10 miles from Warsaw towards Fairfield Ramp. I have several places I like to fish from Bank or Boat. Plus hunting. Learned so much more about the area when we bought a Home for a couple years. oneshot

Andy & JoAnne Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Hope you get lots of time to enjoy it. Fishing reports/pics ARE expected. Have Fun.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Fairfield was my destination back in the day. We used to go to Fred's Fishing Camp and rent a wooden jon and head to the Osage generally. We also fished the Pomme during the white bass run. You couldn't boat up the Little Pomme, but you could walk it and the pools close to the big river had some whites. I have a picture of myself and Fred holding an oar with 2 spoonbill hanging from it. I'll have to see if I can copy it and post it. FYI I first heard of Truman being built from Fred. He told us he had been approched and advise that he would be bought out for a lake project. This was about '57 I think. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
shaker Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I remember when I was a young-un growing up in Clinton in the '50's and Kay Singer lake was the hot topic. You was either for it or against it there was no middle ground that I remember of course I was for it if that really mattered. Somewhere about that time the named was changed to Truman and that stirred up more arguments same thing some people liked Harry Truman and some thought that he was a thief. imagine that. RB

Remember Spoonbilling below Warsaw before the Lake was built. Like I say I'll be glad when we are finished with the Cabin. Got it where I can have all I have here just can't take care of my animals and Garden. My Son will keep an eye on animals if me and my wife go, if it is just me my wife will take care of the animals. I just need to get use to taking the Boat out by myself. oneshot
