I have never fished this tailwater. Where is the best place to launch a drift boat? then where should I go to get in on some fish with fly rod. Also this would be with no generation.

Several places to launch a drift boat and from the dam to Houseman access are all fly rod areas. Phil has a real good map on here.

Dam to Houseman is 7 miles +/-. The last mile would be a rowing deal.

Thanks guys I was planning a trip there next month and wasn't sure how much I could get thur in a drift boat with 0 generation

With ZERO generation I can get from the AGFC Ramp at Holiday Island past the 62 bridge by about 1/4 mile (est) in my bass tracker. With generation I have got to Bertrand but its sketchy at times. When I have Canoed or gone with my buddy in his Hyde we have launched at the agfc Ramp just below the dam and drifted to Beaver Town.

Fly rod? I thought the regs said it was "artificial lure" with some restrictions. I know I did see some guys with spinning rods when I was checking the area out two days ago.

The only place I saw to launch a drift boat without dragging it in the Parker Bend area was at the dam.
