Members james Posted December 6, 2014 Members Posted December 6, 2014 Does anybody know if their releasing any water below the dam? don't live in Forsyth anymore, but was thinkin of coming up that way this weekend and fishin a couple nights, Dec was always my best month for walleye there, just don't know what the waters like. Don't see anybody talking about the jerkbait bite, so I'm assuming fishing must be decent.
Mofloatjunkie Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I fished the Forsyth area on Thursday. They weren't running any water at powersite. Talked to one guy that had been doing good on walleye below the dam on stick baits. No such luck for me. I caught one spot down by swan creek about 17 inches and that was it. Did find some nice crankbaits walking the bank. Ended the day by limiting out on trout at the dock at empire. All in all a good trip. At least I got dinner.
Moswimb8slinger Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I may have met the same "jerkbait"guy (was he driving a green jeep Cherokee?) That supposively caught a couple of limits of walleye a couple of weeks ago, with the 2 biggest weighing 7lbs and 10lbs on a black/gold rogue. He was throwing a firetiger color when I was talking to him
Dutch Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Look at the top above your post. There is a SWPA generation schedule. It will show draws from Bull and Gens from T. Rock. The guys at the Powersite dam told me that they can see the effects of T. Rock genning after 3 hours.

Taney can't hold any water from TR generation so you can be assured that there will be a flow when TR is releasing water. I my experince the 3 hour delay is right on. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members james Posted December 6, 2014 Author Members Posted December 6, 2014 Thanks for the helpful info everybody, gives me some confidence to hear somebody is catching a few.
Roger Craig Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I am about ready to start hitting that area myself, and same thing sad to say, I have been culled down to bankfishing. Hit me up 6'6" old guy, deep voice, Silver HHR lol.
