mhowerton Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Decided to burn a vacation day on Friday with the freezing temps. A buddy and I headed to the river to try our luck. Got set up and at fist light they were dumping in faster than we could shoot and get the dog back to the bank and shoot again. With the current we had to wait for the dog to make the retrieve and get back before shooting again and only shooting one or two out of a group. We finished up around 8:30. I was planning on scouting Friday afternoon for the hunt Saturday, but had a sick kid. Went back to the same place on Saturday and only got two. Great way to spend a vacation day. Ron Burgundy 1
BilletHead Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Look at that mess of birds! Nice way to burn the day off. Bird Watcher Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Awesome. It never seems like a wasted vacation day when you have a pile of ducks after the hunt.
