Members dtbrake Posted February 6, 2015 Members Posted February 6, 2015 In regards to the james river level near springfield. Where is the meter actually located? Im trying to put together my game plan for this summer. However i may not have a clue what im doing, but it looks like it has alot of smallie and goggle eye potential. Thank you guys for any responses!
jbooth24 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I don't think it has one. I usually just dire by the river a day or two I advance to see what it looks like. But usually te river is good to float. Unless we get no rain or aloe of rain and it floods. I usually fish up from springfield lake and around galena. I have never had an issues of the tie r being too low for me to flaot
Members dtbrake Posted February 7, 2015 Author Members Posted February 7, 2015 I was thinking of fishing KK to the lake this summer in 2 mile stretchs wading. it looks like it would be great reminds me of the fishing im used to atleast from the sat imaging. only thing that worries me is the abundance of houses along the river. Im sure its safe and never really take this into consideration. is this a no fish zone to outsiders?
Flysmallie Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Pretty sure the gauge is just upstream from Crighton. Â Â

That sounds awesome ill definitely be getting in touch with you. if the conditions are where you like don't be afraid to contact me either. also what water level do you like or think is best. back on the jacks fork i like it down around 1.5'. ill fish it no matter but find that to be optimum for fishing plus keeps a lot of floaters home to much dragging i guess .
jbooth24 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 You will have to drag like once of that. I usually go from division down to the lake lo of good holes and no one there either. But If you want here Ina few weeks I will hit you up and fish some local acess was I know. I have fished B hwy bridge in marshfield an caught a 3lb largemouth from there. But pm when ever you want to go out and I should be free Tight lines Jesse
Mofloatjunkie Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 I float from crighton to 65 bridge all the time. I catch a lot of quality fish through that stretch and don't usually see many people fishing. That is my home water and if you have any questions at all private message me.
Mofloatjunkie Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Yo jbooth when we going floating? It's about that time to hit up crighton and catch some big bass. Message me.
