Creek Looks Good!

Had the opportunity too hit the creek for a few hours today. It was Crystal clear below the dairy farm and plenty of fish cruising around. Managed two today, one Parr marked and one about twelve. I was drifting an olive wooly bigger and some zebra midge patterns. The Parr came on the midge while the larger took the wooly. Beautiful day for the prettiest trout in MO.

Thanks for the update. It has been way to long since I've been down there(roughly 5 years now). I'm sure much has changed, but one that will remain is the beautiful trout.

What is your ideal fly rod length and line weight, and leader length and tippet size for fishing Crane?

I use a 6'6" fulflex with sink tip when using nuggets and nymphs and an 8' rod with floating for Dries. Usually eight foot leader of two lb for both. They aren't line shy but definitely people shy. Hugging a tree is very useful so is kneeling down. Try fishing from down stream up.
