I got out for a while yesterday. Ran 41.3 miles on 8.5 gallons. Gotta love an Optimax! I could have gotten better mileage but my heavy foot and the hot foot pedal seem to like each other. Rarely got below 4,800rpm so….there’s that. LOL!

Thought I’d share some fun images from my outing. No fishing report for me really. I only bagged one fish yesterday. Hardly a report by any means but I was covering a lot of water and only fishing areas very quickly. If fish wouldn’t bite within 30mins, I was trying other areas for more active fish. This crappie was 13.5” when measured flat and both hands. He was very lethargic too. I found several areas with crappie but they did not want to bite. Also saw a few friends on the water as well.

I was mainly checking out some of the lake I never fish. Seeing what’s going on, where fish were relating, etc. Lots of boat traffic out yesterday. Saw a deep V and a Gambler in some VERY shallow water areas on plane. I do hope folks are careful. I’d hate to see someone have to pay for lower units and props because they simply did not know about the stumps and channels. My new tin rig is great for shallow but I have found a few stumps (bottom of hull only) with the water being so low.

I did manage to find a large school of paddlefish. Got some nice sonar screenshots of them. Also found a MASSIVE school of bait. Love my new HDS units!

Spoonbills! Great pics!

I know of 1 spot on the lake where they school like that in Feb. You spot appears to have a different layout, but 2 things in common.

I betcha these areas might be in close proximity of each other.

If you go back & the spoonbills moved, there should be walleye taking their place.
