Members crappiekayaker Posted February 19, 2015 Members Posted February 19, 2015 Yesterday, I got off work (got to love working for a local university ). hoping to use my snow day to go fish, I headed down to Springfield lake. Just about the whole lake was froze over. trythisonemv 1
Mofloatjunkie Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Are they running any water down there?
Members crappiekayaker Posted February 19, 2015 Author Members Posted February 19, 2015 I didn't see anything running and by the looks of it, they hadn't for a few days. The outlet was iced over with snow on top of it.
jbooth24 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 This winter weather needs to stop already and become spring.
Mofloatjunkie Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I'm hoping that with the cold temps we've been having they will start running more water. I absolute love fishing there when it's running.
Members crappiekayaker Posted February 19, 2015 Author Members Posted February 19, 2015 My plan was to fish that area, yesterday because of the colder temps. The ice put a damper on that. I'm tired of this winter too, spring cannot come soon enough.
smbasser Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I swore I remember hearing something about the Power Station shutting down for maintenance but cannot find anything in writing that says this. I have tried to call and no one seems to give me an answer bc no water has been coming out for at least a week. Anyone have any knowledge of a "shutdown"?
Members crappiekayaker Posted February 24, 2015 Author Members Posted February 24, 2015 I have not heard anything but that would explain why its iced over.
Members Sean_Reynolds Posted February 25, 2015 Members Posted February 25, 2015 Is it still iced over?
Members crappiekayaker Posted February 28, 2015 Author Members Posted February 28, 2015 The warm water outlet is fishable now.
