Terrierman Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 lake Weiss in Alabama has a reproducing stripier population which i think may be the only one in the country.... The biologist think they go up the coosa river to lay eggs but are still studying them to figure out how they do it.... Of course the crappie fisherman are not real happy with that.. So how do they reproduce in the salt? Not a smarty pants question. Just wonder how that works if it's all that difficult in fresh water.

There is some awesome videos on Youtube showing it, I get lost watching fish spawning runs though dreaming about being there. Santee Cooper I think was the first landlocked fishery?
