I look forward to reading your paper when you post it, F&F. I've learned quite a bit about striped bass through the years and always look forward to new information and fresh perspectives.

lake Weiss in Alabama has a reproducing stripier population which i think may be the only one in the country.... The biologist think they go up the coosa river to lay eggs but are still studying them to figure out how they do it.... Of course the crappie fisherman are not real happy with that..

So how do they reproduce in the salt? Not a smarty pants question. Just wonder how that works if it's all that difficult in fresh water.

They run up freshwater streams and rivers. There is some awesome videos on Youtube showing it, I get lost watching fish spawning runs though dreaming about being there.

I can get behind that. Santee Cooper I think was the first landlocked fishery?
