Rod Action?

Ok I have a Older Light Action Rod and Reel I found. Have used it many years and like the stiffness of the Rod setting the Hook.

Yesterday I bought a Ultralight Action Combo, told my wife I would have rather got a Light Action but couldn't find one. She said just take the Reel off the Ultralight Rod and put it on the Light Action Rod.

Should I do this or just go ahead and try the Ultralight Rod?
