Members Ken1949 Posted March 6, 2015 Members Posted March 6, 2015 An oil spill was reported on Coffeen Lake on February 25. Approximately 700 gallons of turbine oil was spilled from the power plant into the hot water arm. The lake was closed for about one week in order to clean up the spill.
Haris122 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I had heard something similar a few weeks back at Baldwin Lake. We went down there only to find the gates closed. Someone had apparently left some valve open and it dumped something in the lake. I don't know if they opened it up yet. Coffeen lake is much more scenic than that though, so it sucks even more in that case.
