jerry241 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I believe I might try a chicken suit next time out After yesterday I'll try anything. Maybe we need a fish dance or something
JohnF52 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 It would be nice if the Ventris ramp had more parking, wider ramp, courtesy dock, etc. There arent any public ramps in the clifty area that Im aware of. Not that anybody would use them anyway. Beavorama could use a boatramp. There is a Big Clifty ramp leased to Carroll County. There is a ramp at Beavorama, but not constructed in the right place, so not very usable. I mentioned that in my comment sheet. The Beavorama shoreline area is leased to Washington County.
Guest Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 that beavorama ramp is a joke. water too low, cant use it, waters too high, cant use it Im not sure how they would adress that problem. The sidewalk hole could use some improvemnts as well, but I doubt they will do it. I betcha, they work on ramps near the largest marinas, since thats where their revenue is coming from. just a guess

JohnF52 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 If the Beavorama ramp was rebuilt a little to the downstream side from where it is, it would be a lot more usable. That area slopes more sharply toward the channel. I have my rig set up so I only have to get the transom in the water a couple inches deep and I can launch and retrieve. Full length bunk slicks and center guides help. The ramp being in that shallow creek bed is a joke.
jolicious Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 At least he is not driving around in a chicken suit and fishing in it. Joe your a nutcase. Hhmmmmmm.....
