Lifes2Short Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Launched at Roark about 1:30, water temp was 44. Spent time from the Twin Bridge area and up in Son's where the timber starts, however could not get bit up in the river. Couldn't get bit on Jigs or Shakey Heads or Jerkbaits. Tied on a brown crankbait and ended up catching 3 healthy keepers (15 to 16 inches) largemouth. My guess is they are just starting to get on this pattern but please note it took 4 hours of fishing to catch 3 fish. Water temps ranged from 44 to 49, blue skies, no wind. Talked with a few crappie guys at the ramp and they had not caught anything. Two more weeks of this weather and it should be "FISH -ON"! bg_bass_hunter 1
Ketchup Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 those are good areas. I usually fish out of Roark a few times a year. You did better than us on Pomme. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
