I live in mt Vernon and it rained steady all night and morning! Drove over turn back and it looked like it was up high so good luck this weekend guys. Hope little sac got a good drink too. I will be up there next Monday . More rain Thursday so I'm gambling on the warmth from Monday pulling them up some then the rain and more warmth bringing them to taylor/Orleans area. I can't haul my canoe by myself so I'm limited

I fishing Turnback this morning trolling & casting for whites. Ended up picking up a decent mess of crappie before the north wind shut them down around 10am. Also aught a couple big sow whites, and one channel cat of all things. No walleye, but a good mess of fish for supper. Tried shad raps, sassy shad, rooster tails, but every single fish came off a 1/8 chartruese road runner head with a white auger tail gub. The crappie were suspended over timber along channel edges about 10 foot down. Water temp read 52.

Remember - If at first you DO succeed, try not to act surprised & quit while you're ahead.

I went to Aldrich this morning, no luck. A couple guys next to me caught a couple walleye each, with live minnows. It sounded like they been at it since early morning. Checked up river the little sac (Decommissioned & Taylor Bridge). The water was high and rising but murky.
