jtram Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Is Spring river fishable (visibility)? Levels are perfect after the rain, but dont wanna drive an hour just to see coffee. Thanks if anyone has seen it today or last night.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 16, 2015 Root Admin Posted March 16, 2015 My buddy was on the Spring yesterday. He ut in at Twin Bridges and went to first island. Muddy water there and running fast. He went down river and found clearer water and caught whites but he said the whole river will be muddy for several days now. The muddy water pushed down river yesterday and is probably muddy all the way to Twin Bridges. He said give it 2-3 days and it should be fishable.
Members nwaflakes Posted March 16, 2015 Members Posted March 16, 2015 I went yesterday and fished from HYW 10 down to the boat houses and the water was filthy with a lot of debris floating in it. We fished a few hours and caught a handful, but it was very spotty at best. I got to meet the local game wardens (who were both honestly very friendly) and they said they hadn't heard of much success on Sunday, but it sounded like it was real good on Friday. A fried of mine trolled yesterday on the Spring from the power lines and south for a few hours and caught a dozen, but said the boats got so thick in that area that it was difficult to manage. You couldn't have fit another boat in a twin bridges yesterday and even the shotty ramp there at 10 was full of boats and cars. Tis the season!
jtram Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Thanks for the replies, guess I'll work today and sneak away tomorrow afternoon and see.
