Location: Near Dam

Water Temp: 48-50

Water Visibility: 10+ Ft

Air Temp: Low 60's

Depth: 16-22 FOW

Lures: Crankbaits and 3" Keitech Swing Impact

5 Fish Total: 3 SM (16-18") and 2 Spots (16 and 16.5")

Headed to the dam to escape the mud of the river arm for a short fishing trip Tuesday afternoon. Put in a LBN and fished a wind-blown, pea gravel flat at the mouth of a creek in 16-22 FOW with crankbaits and keitechs. The fish all came from a relatively small area on the edge of the flat near deep water. Caught 3 SM and 2 Spots from 2:30 to 4:30. By 4:30 the bite shut down ahead of the front.

Good catch. I have heard, from one guy last year(not verified info), that at some point in the early spring you can hang a left there at the LBN boat ramp and catch whites up and down that creek arm.

The backs of all of those hollers in the Indian creek arm can hold whites at the right time in the spring. It's just so darn hard to predict when they'll be there. Best times to look are after a rain when there is water coming in the backs of those coves.
