My dad is 80yrs young and never hooked a white bass. I know some places to try (will be in my boat ) but want to up his chances. Any of you guys got some suggestions....not looking for your honey holes....just general areas. Thanks

wish i could help you out, seen some post that the whites have ben biting i`m takeing my dad fishing sunday for crappie, he`s 80 yrs too, gong to try cc area thats his fravorite area to fish hope some are biteing, good luck

Good luck to you guys Strat. Thought about CC as well. Need a courtesy dock to load him...probably go cedar ridge and on up to Aldrich area. Dread the trees though...lol

you might also consider Ruark Bluff area. id probably troll a #7 flicker shad in purple tiger color on the flats and up sons creek to the three hills area. you can hit the points and pockets and probably be productive. also the pockets in the ruark east camp ground might be good too.

Question....how do I catch x species under y conditions during z time of year? Answer....exactly what jim said lol draggin purple flicker shads around stockton lake has significantly improved my catch rate on that lake of about every species.

My buddy had a 50+ crappie day and tons of keeper whites out of Highpoint last weekend. I've fished with him there before and he really does stay in and around (easily within a mile ) of the Highpoint access.
