Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 3, 2015 Root Admin Posted April 3, 2015 The rain gauge on the Corp site says we got 1 inch of rain last night but I don't believe it. Taney is running a bit brown this morning but they're running 3 units so it will be cleared up in the upper lake by noon. The trophy area is already clear and fishable.
Terrierman Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 We got way more than an inch in Christian County. Every place that water could stand or water could collect and run off was full this morning. Gravel washed into the road, leaves up on the road. Just a LOT of water fell. We had three rounds of storms that woke me up. Don't have an actual measured amount, my gauge isn't out yet. But it was more than an inch for certain. I do know one person in Galena who had a measured three inches in his gauge.
Members ehertz2 Posted April 3, 2015 Members Posted April 3, 2015 Is the upper worth coming down to today? In Springfield and I am new to the lake and its conditions. I normally fish up near Shepard. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Thanks. Eric
Gatorjet Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Time to switch those jig colors to black for a while. Real men go propless!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 4, 2015 Author Root Admin Posted April 4, 2015 Sorry I didn't see your question. The lake cleared out but is high again. Babler did real good early this am but the fish shut off late in the morning. They've been catching good rainbows on egg, San Juans and big scuds up there. Just have to keep in contact with the bottom or you won't get bit.
